Oracle NetSuite Offers Free Implementations, Discounts for Trapped Planning and Budgeting Customers
Posted by Tom Kelly, Senior Director of Product Marketing
When it comes to planning and budgeting, finance departments have never had it easy.
For many, finance teams still conduct planning and budgeting with time-consuming, inefficient manual processes and basic tools. That leaves finance wasting resources on collecting, consolidating and reconciling data instead of performing the analysis, strategy development and target setting they need to be doing at a time when finance is being charged with “becoming more strategic.”
Too many businesses continue to rely on spreadsheets shared by email as their primary planning and budgeting tool. The spreadsheet-based approach leaves too much scope for errors through version control issues, undetected data entry mistakes and hidden calculations and/or hard coded cells. These errors almost inevitably lead to misinterpretations and poor decision-making and yet, many companies still rely heavily on spreadsheets.
