searchNext() on ItemSearch returns "unexpected error"

On a large ItemSearch, a call to searchNext() will fail and return the status message "An unexpected error has occurred." It happens at an arbitrary page in the search, so it is impossible for me to look at a record and find weird data that might be responsible.

This began to happen about a week and a half ago on version 2.0 and yesterday on version 1.3.2.

Will be opening a support case shortly.

Anyone else experiencing this problem?
