HTML response returned for a get of an Inventory Item

I am getting an HTML response back for a 'get' request. Can you tell me what is wrong? The only thing that is different about this item (and all the others that exhibit this issue) is that it is NOT a matrix item. The customer has matrix items that i can 'get' fine.
