Multiple search criteria on one field

edited May 29, 2020 8:39PM in SuiteCloud / Customization 1 comment

Is it possible to have multiple search criteria on one field?

I have a customized text area field on an inventory item field and I'd like to perform a search with multiple criteria on this field.  The criteria are:

It cannot be empty.

It cannot begin with "DONE".
This is an attempt to recreate a web-based saved search with web services.

My code is as follows:

ItemSearch itmSearch = new ItemSearch();  ItemSearchBasic itmSearchBasic = new ItemSearchBasic();    SearchStringCustomField notEmpty = new SearchStringCustomField();  SearchStringCustomField notDone = new SearchStringCustomField();    notEmpty.internalId = "custitem46";  notDone.internalId = "custitem46";    notEmpty.@operator = SearchStringFieldOperator.notEmpty;  notEmpty.operatorSpecified = true;    notDone.@operator = SearchStringFieldOperator.doesNotStartWith;  notDone.searchValue = "DONE";  notDone.operatorSpecified = true;    itmSearchBasic.customFieldList = new SearchCustomField[] { notEmpty, notDone };  itmSearch.basic = itmSearchBasic;    SearchResult response = netSuiteService.search(itmSearch);

Howdy, Stranger!
