WSDL 2.6 login not returning sessionInfo

I've been using WSDL 2.5 and have been able to get at sessionInfo when I login.  This information is now unavailable:

NetSuiteService service = new NetSuiteService();

//setup Passport object like I always do ..
Passport passport = new Passport();
....

service.login(passport);

service.sessionInfo; // with version 2.6, this is null.

How do I get at this information now?  This is important for my application as it needs to have certain info concerning the individual who has logged in.
