Difference between INVALID_KEY_OR_REF and RCRD_DSNT_EXIST

Hi,

When updating items in Netsuite I sometime get the following error codes (depending on which account I use):

   - INVALID_KEY_OR_REF (on our production account, release 2007.1)
   - RCRD_DSNT_EXIST (on our test account, release 2007.0.5)

Could you explain the different meaning of each one?
Are the error codes related to the releases?
