drop ship and special order POs

Hi.  I have been told by a Netsuite Implementation Consultant that I should be able to create a dropship or special order PO from a Sales Order.  I'm assuming I would do this through the initialize function.  But, there is no reference to a Sales Order to PO initialization in the documentation??  Is this an undocumented feature???
