Employee Earnings

How do I get the list of earnings for an employee?  To be more specific, on the Employee record is a Payroll tab. On that tab is an Earnings tab.  I need to get the list of Earnings from that tab and the rates associated with each earning.  I have no problem getting the employee record, but I can't figure out how to get their earnings.  I'm using VB.NET, but if you have samples in any other languages, I could probably figure it out.
