sample code to update customfield on a contact record
Hi
I am looking for sample code on updating an existing contact record that includes custom fields.
I have used search function to obtain the contact record. When I use the update function, I received the following error:
code: INSUFFICIENT_PERMISSION
message: "You do not have permissions to set a value for element datecreated due to one of the following reasons: 1) The field is read-only; 2) An associated feature is disabled; 3) The field is available either when a record is created or updated, but not in both cases."
type: ERROR
I gather this is because datecreated can only be set at the time the contact record is created. However, what can I do to make sure that datecreated is not assigned during the update process?
