Parse Search Results that contain Custom fields

Suitetalk, in C#, I am trying to parse the results of Saved Search (ItemSearchAdvanced).  I am having trouble parsing the customfieldlist from the results.

I have tried: 
foreach (CustomFieldRef myCustomFieldRef in myItemSearchRow.basic.customFieldList)

but this gives a compile error : cannot convert search column custom to customfiedref.

How do I access the custom field list from a SearchRow object?

here is an excerpt from the SOAP response:

- <platformCore:searchRowList>
- <platformCore:searchRow xsi:type="listAcct:ItemSearchRow" xmlns:listAcct="urn:accounting_2011_1.lists.webservices.netsuite.com">
