ODBC connection using ASP/PHP

Hi,

This is a similar issue to another post, but wanted to clarify what I need.

I would like to connect to a Netsuite database using an ODBC connection in the same way that I would with any other database.

This would mean having a server location, username, password, etc in a connection string.

I've searched every relevant bit of 'Help' documentation in the Help Center, but not found any answers.

Anyone ever managed to get it working in that way?
