Message Tracking in Scheduled Scripts

Hello,

We send emails using nlapiSendEmail. When an email is sent from a user event script, it is stored in the messages tab audit trail.

When we send email using the same code in a scheduled script, it is not stored in the messages tab.

Is this the desired behavior? Is there a method where I can write to the audit trail as part of my code?
