Auto Apply Credit memos

Hi,

How can we auto apply a credit memo to an invoice or Journal.
When we add a credit memo through smbxml the status set to open.
We have to go to the Netsuite UI and select the apply option to apply the credit memo.

Is there a mechanism to automate this through a query.

The Credit memo smbXML code snippet is attached below for  reference
