Rescheduled: Deprecation of Cipher Suites That Use SHA-1 for TLS Communication in Sandbox Accounts H
Due to concerns from a few customers, we have rescheduled the cipher suite deprecation to Monday, June 24, 2019.
The June 24, 2019 deprecation date applies only to:
- Cipher suites that use SHA-1 for secure (https) network-level communication with NetSuite.
- Sandbox accounts hosted in North American data centers.
The following familiar items you may associate with SHA-1 are not affected by this deprecation:
- The SHA-1 used in request signatures for token-based authentication (TBA).
- The SHA-1 hashing function, and various types of signatures, such as those used in TBA or in the SuiteScript nlapiRequestURLWithCredentials function.
Secure (https) communication with NetSuite is subject to the Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol. TLS v1.2 is the only version of TLS that is acceptable for secure network-level communication with NetSuite. You should be using higher level cipher suites introduced with TLS 1.2 and that are supported for use in the NetSuite application. For more information, see
