Workflow Action Script to Execute Edit & Save a record

I am a functional Administrator writing a workflow and mostly successful.
I am creating an Issue from data I enter on in fields on a Tax Rate Custom Record.
I am Subscribing to the Issue to establish a connection between the two records.
I store the Tax Rate Custom Record, Internal ID on the Issue by first populating it in a custom field on the Tax Rate Custom Record.
After a custom Issue field (Fixed In Version) is updated on the Issue, I use the GO TO Record action to get back to the Tax Rate Custom Record & try to populate the custom STE Version field and set the Send Update? field to Yes.
