Reminder : Removal of Web Store Email Templates and Customized Text Groups for Web Store Email in 19

This notice is intended for customers who have a Commerce web store.

What Is Changing?

System email templates for web store emails were introduced in NetSuite 2018.2. Starting with the 2019.2 release, the use of system email templates will be mandatoryand the following legacy email template options will no longer be available:

  • Customized Text Groups for Email (Setup > SuiteCommerce Advanced/ Site Builder > Customize Text > Email tab)
  • Web Store Email Templates (Documents > Templates > Web Store Email Templates)

As part of the 2019.2 upgrade, if you have legacy template options selected on the Email tab of the Website Setup record, custom system email templates will be automatically created from your selections. Your existing legacy email templates will be removed and replaced with the newly created system email templates.
