Search Results: User Selected Grouping

We have a Saved Search that users need the ability to view "Grouped" by either Field ID1 or Field ID2 or Field ID3 ...

Is there anyway to avoid creating 3 versions of the search with the only difference being the primary Group?

On a similar note, is there a way to pass field variables in the URL of the saved search? We have another scenario where we need to simply change the value of a field criteria used in the report. Would be ideal if we could simply create a master and pass the variable in the URL.
