Upcoming Removal of OFX and QFX Files from all Databases
This notification is to alert you of the planned removal of all imported OFX and QFX bank statement files, including any imported in 2019. This removal is targeted for December 12, 2019.
Why is this removal of files occurring?
The OFX and QFX file formats can contain unmasked credit card numbers in plain text. The NetSuite application encrypts and maintains these files in a database in a PCI-compliant manner. However, since there is no business need to retain these files indefinitely, this upcoming change will further mitigate any risk of disclosure.
What is Changing?
If you import OFX and QFX files before December 12, 2019, you will no longer be able to download these files from your NetSuite account. However, you may still be able to get your banking data files from your financial institution. This change will affect NetSuite production, sandbox, and Release Preview accounts. Previously imported bank data, and any reconciled or matched transactions, will not be affected by this change. As of NetSuite 2020.1, the NetSuite application will no longer store any imported bank or credit card files after processing. This will include removing any remaining files in NetSuite databases. You
