Restrict Tax Item results based on Subsidiary or Role

Hi all,

I'm trying to restrict the results of the tax item field on the customer record, either once the subsidiary is selected or with the use of a role that only gives access to that specific subsidiary, but without any success. Should a tax code that is only applied on a UK subsidiary be visible (in the customer form>item field) to a user with access only in the US subsidiary?
