Recommended Action: Test SAML SSO Access to Your Web Store in Release Preview
This notification is intended for customers who use SAML Single Sign-on (SSO) as an authentication method for Commerce web sites.
We encourage you to test your SAML SSO setup for commerce in your NetSuite 2020.1 Release Preview account, before your production account is upgraded. The new Service Provider (SP) Initiated Flow feature may affect existing customers using the Identity Provider-initiated flow if the RelayState parameter is used improperly.
What is Changing?
NetSuite’s 2020.1 SAML implementation recognizes the RelayState parameter. RelayState parameter is an optional parameter you can configure when you set up SAML SSO with your Identity Provider. This parameter is used to determine a landing page after login. It must be properly configured as a valid URL (in absolute or relative format). Any value specified for RelayState that is not a valid URL will cause an Identity Provider-initiated flow to fail.
