Upcoming Restrictions on the Inventory Detail Subrecord
This notification is to inform you of restrictions that will deprecate customizations on the Inventory Detail subrecord as of NetSuite 2020.2. These restrictions will be applied to prepare for later NetSuite upgrades that will remove the ability to perform customizations on this subrecord.
What will be changing?
To prepare for the deprecation and support of customizations on the Inventory Detail subrecord, NetSuite 2020.2 will apply the following restrictions:
- It will not be possible to add custom fields to the subrecord through the NetSuite user interface.
- You will still be able to use SuiteScript to access and perform operations on existing custom fields. However, you should not use SuiteScript to add new fields to the Inventory Detail subrecord.
