Upcoming Changes to the Fixed Assets Management SuiteApp in 2020.2
This notice is intended for customers who are using NetSuite’s Fixed Assets Management (FAM) SuiteApp. The changes described in this notice are targeted for Fixed Assets Management SuiteApp in 2020.2.
| What is Changing? | Recommended Actions |
| The Value Based Final Period Convention is added for Japan to support depreciation beyond the asset life, until the Residual Value equals 1 JPY. The default FAM depreciation methods Japan 200% Declining Balance and Japan 250% Declining Balance will be updated with this new Final Period Convention.For depreciating assets, this update will trigger an Asset Reset upon bundle update to remove old precomputed values. Users can run precompute to update the forecast values. |
