Changes to Charge Classification for Subscription Billing in 2020.2
This notice is intended for customer who currently use SuiteBilling and have cleared the Line Level preference for either class, department, or location.
What Is Changing?
Currently, charge record classification field values are populated with item record classification field values. After your account is upgraded to NetSuite 2020.2, if the Line Level preference for the classifications is cleared, the billing account record and the subscription line record contain the same values for the classification fields, Class, Department, or Location. When a change order or a new activation change order regenerates any charges, the charge classification field default values match the charge classification values of the billing account. This change aligns the proper values across NetSuite records based on Line Level preference settings.
