NetSuite Support Community Gurus schedule during the Holiday Season.

In observance of Public Holidays and Oracle Mandatory Year-End break, our NetSuite Support Guru Team will be offline on December 25 to 29 and January 1, 2024.

NSC | Copy the Value of the Contact Field

In a Case Record, a standard Contact field is available. However, there are instances where it needs to be replicated for approval purposes. The steps below will help us know how to create a Custom CRM Field that will replicate the standard Contact field on a Case Record.


1. Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > CRM Fields > New

2. Label: Enter Label

Example: Contacts

3. Type: Select List/Record

4. List/Record: Select Contact

5. Store Value: Enter Checkmark 

6. Click Applies To 

○ Case: Enter Checkmark 

7. Click Sourcing & Filtering 

○ Filter Using: Select Company

○ Compare Type: Select Equal

○ Compare to Field: Select Company

8. Click Save


Note that you can also create a CRM Field from the Case Record. On
