How to solve Custom KPI disappears from one-user's Dashboard?

I have created many KPI metrics which are used by a few people/roles.

We have one user who has a repeating problem: when they refresh the KPI Portlett, the Backlog KPI disappears.

They then have to manually re-add it again to see the data.

I have other users sharing the same role and they do not have this issue.

I have other users using different roles and they also do not share this issue.

Any thoughts on what might cause this?
