Get the Most Out of NetSuite Inventory Management | Questions and Answers

edited May 5, 2023 8:34PM in NSC Webinars 1 comment

Here is the list of the questions sent out during the webinar and the answers that were provided.

How did you get to "create inventory" screen?

Just navigate to Lists > Accounting > Items > New > Inventory Item.

We use a lot of kit items in orders. It doesn't seem like NetSuite registers the component inventory item sales for calculating Inventory Management metrics like reorder points. Is this possible and where is a good place to learn more about how to do this?

Reorder Points are auto-calculated on the component item level and not on the kit/package level. Sales of kits/packages, however, will still be accounted for on the component level, hence, incorporated when determining demand history for such component item.

Howdy, Stranger!
