NSC | Remove Duplicate Values when using NS_CONCAT in a Saved Search formula
Scenario
User has a formula that uses NS_CONCAT function. However, it is returning the value more than once in the list.
For example:
- Expected result: A1, B2, C3
- Actual result: A1, A1, B2, B2, C3, C3
Solution
Add the DISTINCT function in the formula:
NS_CONCAT(DISTINCT({fieldid}))
Note: Using SQL DISTINCT function in Formula is currently an active enhancement request under Enhancement 166265. However, this seems to work when paired with NS_CONCAT.
Disclaimer: The NS_CONCAT function is not officially supported by NetSuite. Furthermore, result values for formula fields containing the NS_CONCAT function are limited to 4000 characters. Use this function at your own discretion.
