New to NetSuite | Client Script: fieldChanged(scriptContext)
After discussing all the types of SuiteScript in the New to NetSuite | SuiteScript Types Overview article, we are now focusing on the different types of Client Script. First is fieldChanged(scriptContext).
The fieldChanged event in NetSuite is triggered whenever the value of a field changes in the UI. This event is particularly useful for performing validations, calculations, or other actions immediately after a user modifies a field value. The fieldChanged event handler function receives a scriptContext object containing information about the changed field and the current record.
