Netsuite Admin Tips | Show Custom Form Name in System Notes
This article tackles a situation in which a user can display the custom form’s name in the transaction’s system notes. This helps users quickly identify which custom form was used for a particular transaction, aiding in tracking changes and understanding the context of modifications. Overall, showing the Custom Form Name enhances transparency, accountability, and efficiency within the transaction management process in NetSuite. To do this, you may follow steps below:
1. Navigate to Customization > Forms > Transaction Forms
2. Preferred Custom Form: Select Edit/Customize
3. Click on Screen Fields Tab > Main
4. Custom Form > Show checkbox: Ticked
5. Click Save.
Result:
The System Notes will show the name of the form used because the custom form field is shown in the form.
