NSC | How to Set Field Access Based on Role or Permission
Let’s say you have a sensitive field—like “Internal Cost”—on an item record that should only be visible to managers. Instead of creating multiple forms, you can set field-level access based on role or permission. This allows you to control whether a field is visible, editable, or hidden entirely depending on the user’s role, helping you protect sensitive data while keeping forms streamlined for each team.
Go to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > [Field Type]
Click Edit on the field you want to restrict.
Under the Access subtab, you’ll see options for Role and Employee access.
