TO_NUMBER is a conversion function that transforms a text or string value into a numeric data type. In simpler terms, it takes a piece of text that represents a number and converts it into an actual number that can be used in calculations.
For instance, if you have a text field containing "1234" and you want to perform mathematical operations on it, you can use TO_NUMBER to convert it into a numerical format.
