New to NetSuite | Creating a Deposit record for Undeposited Payment
In NetSuite, Deposit records capture Customer Payments and other incoming funds. Payments are first posted to Undeposited Funds to avoid timing issues, then moved to the Bank Account ledger when a Deposit is recorded, ensuring accurate bank balances.
If you record Customer Payments directly to a Bank Account rather than to Undeposited Funds, you do not need to create Deposits for those amounts.
Deposit can also be created for Customer Deposit, Cash Sale, Cash Refund and Journal Entry recorded under Undeposited Funds.
Ways to create Deposit:
1. Transactions > Bank > Make Deposits
2. Transactions > Bank > Make Deposits > List > New Transaction
