NetSuite Admin Tip | Set Up Site Management Tools Permissions for Custom Role
Site Management Tools (SMT) allow you to manage website content directly in NetSuite. To use SMT, your user account needs the right permissions, which are provided by the Administrator or Store Manager roles by default.
Since the administrator role is limited to certain employees, it’s best practice to either use the Store Manager role or assign Site Management Tools (SMT) permissions to a custom role.
This approach ensures that users who need to manage the web store’s content have the right access without giving them full administrator permissions, which helps maintain security and proper access control within your organization.
