Urgent Notice: Prepare for 2026 Reporting on FLSA Overtime Premium in Workforce Management
This notice is intended for SuitePeople Workforce Management (WFM) customers, who may be using SuitePeople U.S. Payroll to process employee overtime.
What is Changing?
Starting with the 2026 tax year, you must report the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime premium amount on employee W-2s. This requirement is in line with HR 1, otherwise known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA-1). The FLSA overtime premium is the added half-time pay you must include when an employee’s total overtime wages exceed their regular rate of pay.
To support this requirement, WFM lets you track the FLSA overtime premium in your overtime configuration.
