NetSuite Admin Tip | Gulp Theme Deployment: Create a New Theme without Overwriting Existing
When working with SuiteCommerce themes, you might fetch an existing active theme (for example, Theme X) and attempt to create a separate copy (Theme Y) for use in another domain. However, you may notice that deploying the theme with a new name still updates Theme X instead of creating a new, independent theme.
This happens because the default Gulp deployment behavior updates the existing theme record if it already exists in the target account.
Important: Be cautious when deploying changes. If you make updates intended for a new theme but accidentally overwrite the existing theme (Theme X), those changes can immediately impact the live site currently using that theme.
