Our nonprofit has a store which sells low vision devices through cash sale.  However, our rehabilitation departments also has its own set of about 20 items that it loans out to customers for up to 30 days.  Thus, a cash sale is probably not appropriate.

The store still wants to track these products, but separate from their own inventory counts.  These items though, once purchased by our staff for in-house use only, are thus immediately written off as we do not expect to resell them.  We also would really like to have the ability to set them as inventory item type b/c these can be scanned into an invoice/sale using a bar code scanner, which is very necessary for our store staff, many who are blind and use screen reader software.
