Default Ship Complete @ Customer level

I've seen this thread, which is from July 2006...

Since that originally posted, has anyone found a way to default Ship Complete at the customer level?

I need every new customer record created to have Ship Complete as True since defaulting it on the Sales Orders is pointless because it will be overwritten by the information populated on the Customer record.

Any information is appreciated!
