Easier Item Locations for Picking

edited Nov 25, 2019 10:46AM in Accounting / ERP 1 comment

For Picking, we print a "Items pending fulfillment" list that shows all items contained within currently approved sales orders.  This allows us to do a bulk pick, after which we sort individual orders.  I would like to have our pick flow through the warehouse easily by assigning a location to each item.  I do not have the time to update bin quantities whenever they get low for each item, as we constantly restock pick bins from an off-site storage.

I have heard of some people creating a custom "Location" field in each item page.  Would it be possible to have a field like this that would then be sorted alphabetically/numerically on our bulk pick report?  I would like to get some opinions on how everyone handles picking flow.

Howdy, Stranger!
