Commercial Invoice and no Declared Value (Enhancement #124239)
Our business model works slightly different that what the Commercial Invoice (CI) was designed to accommodate. The CI takes the amount of each line item and adds them up to a Total on the bottom of the CI. This isn’t exactly accurate as UPS and FedEx use a “declared value” for declarations. Declared Value is not the same as the sales value of an item(s). Case in point our customer’s purchases software subscriptions and we mail out software update CD’s for that subscription from month to month. We don’t charge the customer for them thus they have a zero sales
