Why is finding field names in report building sooo difficult (for me)
I just wasted over an hour trying to make a very simple report. My report started with "reports->Sales->Sales by item summary>customize". I needed a column displaying the income account field so i could group sales totals by income account.
So, I try to find the income account field using the "search tool" displayed in the NetSuite report builder. I search for "income".
Results = "No results fond".
OK, that is odd. So, I search for "account". I only get a few matches. I find one that seems close after much head scratching. It is just labeled "account type", along side about 50 other fields that are also just named "account type". I hover over each one and I find one that has notes that say "Item Type > Income Account > Account Type". I add it to my report. I think I'm done at that point. I view my report and "no luck". That field only shows the word "Income" and not the full account name that
