Problem with Template Spacing in IE... help!

This template looks good in firefox, but Internet Explorer is adding some spacing and/or padding for some reason (look at the bottom of each image).  I've had this problem in other list layouts... last time I gave up on using the border but I think it looks much better in this case, someone please offer some advice?
