Upsell/Related Items Description Tag?

In the Web Site Setup, under the Upsell tab, there is a place to enter a Description for both Upsell and Related Items. Is there a way to access these descriptions in a template?

Right now I'm using the default "Basic : Vertical Blocks PRODUCTS (related item list)" template in my cart layout. This just uses the "Related Items" heading twice, once for the Upsell items and once for the Related Items.

I'd rather that they both show beneath the cart, but with different headings, preferably using the descriptions I defined in the Web Site Setup. Is there a way to do this?
