Customer Center rendering issues

Well thought I was home free with my custom site layout, then I started digging into the customer center mixed with my custom layout.

- Filter dropdown boxed dislay values at the top of the screen (deleted the value I had entered for document type and solved this issue had <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd" >)
- Unable to control the width of the layout even with innerwrapper set to 900px

Any suggestions??
