Tag to insert a specific category's item list?

I'm curious if there's a way to create a Tag, that would function in the same way as the NLITEMLIST tag does now, but would pull a category's items into a cell when you're not actually within that category.

For example, I'd like to be able to create a page, mainly consisting of static HTML and images, but in the middle, I'd like to dynamically insert a list of items (all could be in a certain category)...      Any easy way to do this?

like <NLITEMLIST_Category=2345>    does this make any sense?
