Sales Tax in the State of Texas
In the hopes that this information can save someone the nightmare I just went through, this is my understanding of how Sales Tax will work in the State of Texas. (after September 1 2007)
If anyone has feedback that this is incorrect, I would love to hear from you!
Note: In our case, we have one Dallas office which receives 3 or more orders per year. We have a fulfillment house that we use which is in Fort Worth.
1) Most important: As of September 1 2007, Mass Transit Authority (MTA) will be collected based on the delivered FROM location not the delivered TO location. The Comptrollers office says the notices have been sent but I have not seen one.
