customer/sub customer - accepting payments

Is it possible for a Customer to Pay a Sub-Customer's invoices? Example - I have a customer who left a deposit for a Sub Customer; when I go to accept payments, the deposit will not show up on the sub customer's deposit tab.

If not, is there a work around, without having to go back and edit all the sub-customers stuff to make it look like the top customers?
