Mark cleared box gone on account registers!

We (used to) use the "Clr" checkbox on account registers to clear items in holding accounts (like landed cost and inventory received not billed).  When 2009 R1 hit our account a few months back, only BANK accounts have this functionality now...  How do we get this back??  Has anyone else run into this problem?  Our IT department has logged a case with NetSuite, but there hasn't been any progress.
