Food Taxability and Taxes in Netsuite
As I understand it today the tax schedules used (US Based) in Netsuite are sourced from Avalara's Avatax platform. Has anyone had experience determining food taxability and applying taxes on items being sold through the web store, in the checkout process?
Here's the challenge...If I have X number of food items in our catalog and have to determine if they are taxable on a geocode or zip code basis, and then calculate and apply the applicable tax, I don't see a way to do that in the checkout process of the web store.
My discovery to date is this: The checkout process in Netsuite is one of the "closed" (read non-customizable) internal processes.
