Disable Auto-Generated numbers for transactions

Hello,

I've searched high and low through NetSuite and this forum and I can't find anywhere to disable auto-numbering for transactions.:(

In fact there's no where it can be enabled?

I'm trying to create all new estimates with a new number range.

Any help would be appreciated.
