Landed costs

edited Jul 16, 2013 6:36PM in Accounting / ERP 7 comments

We want to incorporate landed costs into the cost of our products. We stock a vast variety of different things, and we usually collect from our suppliers all over Europe.

We do consolidated shipments - so we will wait until we have, for example, 1 pallet of goods (approx 480 bottles of wine in our case), and then ship it.

We then receive the goods into the warehouse a short while later. A few days after they have arrived I then get a bill from the warehouse for the cost of receiving the goods, customs clearance, etc.

A few days (or sometimes weeks!) after that I will get a bill from the shipping company for the transport.

Howdy, Stranger!
